May Fragment

the gift
to the walking body
of a dry path
over a mossy bank

blessed by the holy
fallen stars
of horse-chestnut
and holly

  1. Hi Tara, I enjoyed your short May Fragment and your essay on writing letters. I’ve been able to reflect and do more writing for a Memory Writing Class at the WLACC each week. I have set aside the time and effort to write about myself. This started when I took a Memoir Writing Class on Zoom through the WL Library last month. I’m sharing these memories with the dozen in the class and with my children.

I’m so proud of you for accepting the position of Church Council President. I am still watching the service from home on Sundays and appreciate the effort that is required to offer that service to members not in attendance. Just wanted to write you a “letter” this morning, hoping you are handling your job and your leadership with a steady hand. I have sent you the minutes from Creative Spirits Art Team so you know what we are doing. Do you want me to continue sending them to you? Doanne

    • Thank you, Doanne!

How lovely to hear from you. I miss seeing your face at WLLC and online with Creative Spirits. CS is obviously in good hands. I saw the gallery sign on the door last Sunday; it feels so official. :) You are welcome to keep sending me the group’s notes; I do enjoy seeing what you’re up to.

I’m glad to hear you are writing your memoirs. This is not an easy thing to do! I hope it will indeed be fulfilling and valuable.
