I’m excited to announce a new project!

In 2015 I created the year-long Trail-A-Week, which is how this blog started and also how I taught myself to start behaving like the writer I wanted to become. (Some of you were with me on that journey, and I’m so grateful. Thank you.)

This project is maybe less ambitious–and also, I think, more direct and more participatory. It’s about creating connection and conversation, sparking joy and beautiful questions, in a simple and aesthetically interesting way.

It’s called The Florilegia Project, and I invite you to check it out, follow along daily on Twitter or Instagram, and look for the 8 pieces I’ll create from it here on this blog at the turning-days of the seasons.

You’re invited also to contribute your own comments, connections, and “sparklets” (I explain that term on the project page) in any of those forums. You can offer them singly, or in response to my contributions or others’.

I’m just getting started, so not many folx know about The Florilegia Project. Which means I have a favor to ask.

If you know someone who might like this project, please consider sending them a link, dropping a note on Facebook or Twitter, etc. If you have a newsletter or blog and this project might interest your readers, please consider linking there, too.
